About Me
My story & values
My name is Tammie, and I’m a counsellor with a deep-rooted passion for supporting others through life’s challenges. My path into counselling was shaped by personal experiences and a strong belief in the power of being truly heard. Having sat on the other side of the therapeutic relationship, I understand how transformative it can be to feel seen, supported, and understood. I strive to offer a warm, empathetic space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings safely and at their own pace.
At the heart of my work is a warm, non-judgemental approach. I believe everyone deserves to be heard, accepted, and supported just as they are.
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy being creative, whether that’s through art, crafts, or finding new ways to express myself. I also value spending time outdoors, taking in nature, and making memories with my family.
Training & professional standards
I have a Foundation Degree in Therapeutic Counselling and I’m a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). This means I work to high professional and ethical standards to support you safely and effectively.
I’ve also completed a Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling, so I’m fully trained to offer sessions remotely. Whether you prefer phone or video calls, you can feel confident knowing I work in a safe, ethical, and flexible way that fits your needs.
I spend some of my time volunteering for a counselling charity in Gloucestershire, where I support individuals facing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Before this, I spent over six years working within the NHS across various roles in both physical and mental health, which gave me valuable insight into the diverse and complex needs people can experience.
How we can work together
My approach is integrative, collaborative, and always tailored to you. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space to explore what feels difficult, while gently noticing how past experiences may be shaping the present. I also bring creativity into the process when helpful—sometimes colour, imagery, or simple visual tools can express what words can’t.
I’m pleased to offer counselling sessions both online and in person, giving you the flexibility to choose what feels best for you—whether that’s the comfort and convenience of connecting from home or the personal connection of meeting face-to-face.
Availability & location
I'm currently available for sessions on weekdays, with both daytime and evening appointments to suit different schedules. I also offer Saturday morning sessions. I aim to reply to all emails within 48 hours.
My practice is conveniently located at Basepoint on Tewkesbury Business Park. There is parking available on-site. Situated close to the M5 motorway, getting here is straightforward whether you’re coming from nearby towns or further afield. The building also has a lift, making access easy for everyone.
